The Ojude Oba Festival has a rich history dating back over 100 years, originating as a Muslim gathering to pay homage to the Awujale after Eid prayers. Over time, it has evolved into a unifying cultural celebration for all Ijebu people, blending religious observance with cultural heritage. The festival is held on the third day after Eid al-Adha, a significant Muslim celebration

- Regberegbe Parade: The festival featured a stunning parade of Regberegbe, age-grade groups that marched to the palace with dancing, music, and gifts, showcasing unity and pride.


- Fashion Extravaganza: Ojude Oba is known for its vibrant display of traditional fashion, with participants donning elaborate outfits made from rich fabrics like Aso Oke, Adire, and Sanyan.


- Horse-Riding Families: The Balogun and Eleshin horse-riding families, descendants of Ijebu warriors, participated in dramatic equestrian displays, adding to the festival's pageantry.


- Cultural Display:The festival featured traditional dances, music, and runway-grade fashion, highlighting the Yoruba people's rich cultural heritage .


The 2025 edition was attended by prominent dignitaries, including:

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, who emphasized the festival's importance in promoting tourism, youth engagement, and entrepreneurship.

Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, who celebrated the festival's cultural significance.

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami .
